NYMEX Oil Complex Continues Freefall on Economy, Liquidation Rumor

The NYMEX March crude, RBOB gasoline and heating oil contracts continued to freefall as it appears market participants holding length acquired early this week have liquidated those positions and many have moved to the short side. We believe today's collapse is due two major reasons.
The first is concern about the U.S. economy after two jobs reports were mixed, but suggested that unemployment remains a major obstacle to recovery.
